Brinly decided that for her 8th birthday party she wanted to have a "Late-night Camp out". It seemed like a perfect idea since she loves to sleep outside in our tent and watch movies on the back of the house. So, invitations were sent out and the planning began.

That afternoon we made "campfire cupcakes". Sooooo, cute and easy!
We had to have a tug-o-war. 
The girls really got into it. They really were very strong!
We had a camp out scavenger hunt where the girls found all sorts of things related to camping--water bottles, compasses, whistles, bugs, etc....
And then we had hot dogs, watermelon, chips and drinks around the campfire for dinner.
After dinner we spent some time in the huge tent playing "telephone". The girls were so cute and often came up with things to spread like "Brinly is so cute" or "Brinly is so funny". I think it made her day.

She absolutely loved all of her presents and couldn't wait to wear her new cute shirts and jewelry to school.
Then it was time to sing "Happy Birthday". Everyone gathered around her in a circle and sang to her.
Then she blew out her campfire cupcake. It's official--I have an 8 yr. old!
We sang campfire songs and roasted marshmallows around the campfire and had to make smores.
Gracie is one of Brinly's best friends.
To finish off the night we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks--the Squiquil on the back of the house in sleeping bags. It was such a fun night! Happy Birthday Brinly!!!!! We love you!!!!
