Right after school on Brinly's very birthday she got to go and get her ears pierced. We have an 8 yr. old rule at our house so she was counting down the days until she could go. 
She got to go with her friend Katie. They both picked out flowers for their earrings of choice. Brinly picked out blue and Katie pink.

She said it hurt for just a second but then it was fine. She couldn't stop looking in the mirror
For dinner that night she picked out homemade mac and cheese, watermelon and corn on the cob. It was the first of the season. Delish!
Time to blow out the candles.
She got scriptures from Grandma Honey, jewelry and a book about baptism from Grandma Carol, a new bike helmet, a few new t-shirts for the summer, and a new belt and purse from the rest of us.
